2025 Women in Construction: Jana Williamson, AMCON

Jana Williamson
Assistant Superintendent
AMCON

What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? I’m really proud of the work I did in the healthcare industry. Whether it was repairing equipment or making sure everything ran smoothly, I knew it played a part in providing life-saving care. It felt great knowing my work helped patients get the critical treatments they needed.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? I’m inspired by all women in this industry. It takes a lot of courage to break into a traditionally male-dominated field, and seeing more women pursue these careers motivates me every day. My advice, stay confident and persistent. Every challenge is a chance to grow, and you belong in this industry just as much as anyone else. Build your network, trust your instincts, and take the leap.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? I recharge by building furniture – it’s a creative outlet that lets me bring ideas to life.
