SCS Construction Management
What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? One of my proudest achievements has been rebranding SCS Construction Management. Before this effort, we were a well-kept secret – an experienced and capable team, but not widely recognized in the industry. Through strategic marketing, storytelling, and refining our messaging, we’ve been able to elevate our presence and make a lasting impression in the AEC space. Now, more people know who we are, what we do, and the value we bring to our clients. It’s been rewarding to see our visibility grow and to watch the industry start to realize our potential.
What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront? Technology and AI are transforming the AEC industry, helping firms streamline processes and reduce errors. At SCS, we’re embracing tools like HP SitePrint to improve efficiency and precision. Staying ahead of innovation ensures we continue delivering the best results for our clients.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? I’m inspired by all the women who walk into a room with the intention already set that it’s a level playing field. Having confidence in your voice is key. Walk into every room knowing you belong. The more you show up as yourself – demonstrating intelligence, curiosity, and commitment – the more respect you’ll gain. My advice: take up space, trust your knowledge, and never hesitate to speak up.
What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? Being outside – walking my dog, playing pickleball, biking, or just sitting by the beach.
Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? I was a synchronized swimmer! It taught me discipline, endurance, skills that still serve me today!
