2026 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Devin Marrocco, Cummings Properties

Devin Marrocco
Leasing Officer
Cummings Properties

“Devin joined our team shortly after graduating from college and immediately hit the ground running. A driven, reliable team player, he has steadily developed an impressive set of sales skills and real estate knowledge, progressing from the smallest client uses to increasingly large transactions. He rounds out the team in an essential way, independently completing a massive volume of transactions while also supporting other colleagues in more complex lease negotiations.”

What inspired you to pursue a career in this industry, and what path brought you to your current role? I’ve always been drawn to commercial real estate, following industry trends since college and regularly reading NEREJ. Having grown up in Winchester, I was especially aware of Cummings’ leadership in the greater Boston market, which made the Company a natural target for me after graduation. I was particularly drawn to the leasing side of the business – the opportunity to be on the front lines, build relationships, and think creatively to meet diverse client needs. That combination of market interest and people-focused work led me to my current role.

Who has been a mentor or influential figure in your career, and what is the most valuable advice they have shared with you? From day one at Cummings, I’ve had the benefit of learning from a team of seasoned professionals with deep industry experience and long tenures. With their hands-on support, I found myself constantly learning, through both observation and direction. Being exposed to varied approaches has helped me to quickly refine my own style, especially in navigating negotiations and achieving balanced outcomes. The most valuable guidance I can pass along is to stay consistent and listen closely to each client’s wants and needs. The goal is for everyone to walk away feeling like a winner.
