2026 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Hannah Dufour, Chapman Construction/Design

“Hannah is a tremendous person to work with. Her strong foundation as an estimator, combined with her organization, time management, and relationship-building skills, ensures that everything she does is both efficient and high quality. Her understanding of construction shows through her ability to put together comprehensive budgets that cover scope gaps. She communicates with confidence, supports her team, and has quickly become a dependable resource who keeps projects moving forward.”

What inspired you to pursue a career in your industry, and what path brought you to your current role? I was drawn to this industry for its fast-paced, hands-on environment. Growing up working at a marina, I developed a strong work ethic and adaptability. I earned a degree in project management and psychology, which helps me manage projects and build relationships. I progressed from estimator to project assistant to assistant project manager, where I continue to take on greater responsibilities and collaborate with teams.

What trends or opportunities do you see shaping the future of your industry? One of the biggest trends shaping the future of the industry is the increasing number of women entering the field and improving overall representation. This shift is creating more diverse perspectives, stronger collaboration, and a more inclusive work environment. As the industry continues to evolve, I think this will lead to better problem-solving, innovation, and opportunities for growth.
