2026 Women in Construction: Gouree Patil, DC Beane and Associates Construction Co.

Gouree Patil
VDC Coordinator
DC Beane and Associates Construction Co.

What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? I wish more women knew how supportive the construction community has become. Mentorship programs, women-focused industry groups, and professional networks have expanded significantly. At DC Beane, I’ve experienced firsthand how teams rally around each other, share knowledge, and celebrate growth. The culture is shifting, and women entering the field today will find more allies, more visibility, and more opportunities than ever before.

What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it? One of the biggest forces shaping the construction industry right now and one that will only accelerate in the coming years, is the rapid expansion of technology in every phase of a project. As a VDC/BIM Coordinator working on complex healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, and institutional projects, I see firsthand how digital tools are becoming the backbone of modern construction. This shift brings both challenges and opportunities, and I believe the companies that embrace it thoughtfully will be the ones that thrive.

What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week? I like to take ten minutes every morning to map out my priorities to stay centered and focused versus reactive.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity? Spending time outdoors is the quickest way for me to recharge. Being in fresh air always helps me reset mentally.
