What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? I’ve seen that construction is not defined by stereotypes but by opportunity, growth, and leadership. The industry offers paths in both the field and office, from trades to project management and design, and rewards curiosity, work ethic, and collaboration. I wish more women knew this field not only welcomes them, but also needs their diverse perspectives to build a stronger future and create a lasting impact.
What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? Rapid advances in construction technology are creating major opportunities to improve how projects are planned and delivered. Tools like Procore and BIM strengthen coordination, centralize information, and resolve conflicts before construction begins, saving time and cost. At the same time, workforce shortages and sustainability demands are reshaping the industry. I’m preparing by expanding my technical skills, learning from mentors, and developing the adaptability needed to help attract diverse talent and support long-term growth.
What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week? I stay focused by working out each morning and stretching at night, keeping my mind clear, energized, and productive.
