What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? When I first joined JDL in February 2023, I worked as a PC on a 120,000 s/f lab renovation in Waltham, Mass. This was a multi-phase project, which included intense planning and coordination. The project was a uniquely intricate interiors job, with multiple crane picks, saw-cutting and trenching, and installation of highly specialized MEP systems and laboratory equipment. While remaining an active working lab & logistics space, we were able to work alongside the design team to deliver a state-of-the-art space to our clients. This was a great achievement to assist in completing, and I’m also proud of how much I was able to learn over the course of the year.
Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? I have always been really interested in architecture, design, science, and math. When it came time to choose a college & major, I opted to combine these passions by embarking on an architectural engineering degree at WPI. As part of this program, I not only continued my love for architecture and building, but also found new interests in project management, planning, and development. I also found that I really enjoyed travelling to various sites and being able to watch a project grow from start to finish. Post-graduation, I found an opportunity to pursue a culmination of these interests professionally at JDL Corporate Interiors. I continue to be inspired by this field with every new project and experience that arises.
