What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? One of my most notable projects in the last 12 months was overseeing Bartlett Building A in Roxbury – an affordable-housing project that is playing a pivotal role in reshaping the community. Growing up, I lived across the street, and in my wildest dreams, I could never have envisioned that the very lot, where I once rode my bike, would become a space I had a helping hand in managing. Returning to the area and contributing to the city’s development through such an impactful housing project feels incredibly surreal.

Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? As NEI’s Diversity and Compliance Coordinator, I was inspired by my cousin Shelley Webster, a veteran in construction with 35 years of experience. Shelley’s compassion and guidance introduced me to the industry, helping me navigate the intricacies of compliance and understand the meaningful impact of our work. Though handling diversity and compliance complexities can be challenging, my dedication is fueled by recognizing the significant impact I make. I am thankful to Shelley for guiding my professional journey and instilling a passion for making a positive difference.
