Cronin Development hires BAMO for St. Regis Residences

Boston, MA Cronin Development has hired BAMO of San Francisco to design interiors for The St. Regis Residences, Boston. The team, led by principal Billy Quimby, is developing the design for the kitchens, bathrooms, and finishes and fixtures throughout the individual units, as well as creating the full interior vision for the lobby and amenity spaces.

Located at 150 Seaport Blvd., the residence-only tower will be BAMO’s first ground-up development in the city. Initial designs of the interior spaces show reflections of the city’s history, culture and maritime heritage with a sail-inspired carved feature wall, nautical reception desk, and the use of hand-forged bronze, barnacle textures, and a palette colored by the tones at water’s edge.

Well-known for both hospitality and residential designs, BAMO is an ideal partner for The Residences. The firm’s residential experience positions it well for interpreting the St. Regis brand for the Boston luxury condominium market.

”In the spirt of the building’s iconic design, the interiors take inspiration from maritime, complementing the forward-thinking vision of Elkus Manfredi Architects and owner Jon Cronin,” said BAMO principal, Billy Quimby. “Throughout the residential lobby and amenity spaces subtle nautical nods and material elements connect the interiors to Boston and the Seaport district, with a level of detail and sophistication for which the St. Regis Brand has come to be known.”

In addition to the maritime influence, BAMO is taking inspiration from a number of local references. The influence of Boston Common’s lush greenery and dappled light reveals itself in the tranquil spa, while materiality in the amenity lounge references the Seaport district during the industrial revolution with detailed stitching, bronze fluting and decorative blown glass lighting. Drawing on the yachting lifestyle, The St. Regis Residences, Boston inspire an air of East Coast luxury, offering a unique sense of privacy and exclusivity, while locating owners at the heart of Boston’s most dynamic neighborhood. The interiors will reflect all of these qualities, as well as the exquisite living experience that the St. Regis brand delivers.

“BAMO’s creative spirit and exceptional design talent makes them a terrific partner for us at The St. Regis Residences, Boston,” said Cronin Development CEO Jon Cronin. “With their international hospitality experience, we’re confident their work for us will deliver the most beautiful, luxury experience for our residents.”

Rising directly on the city’s waterfront, this residential-only tower features a design from Elkus Manfredi Architects that mimics the curvilinear shape of a tall ship at sail. The tower’s 114 luxury condominiums will range from one-bedroom condominiums to penthouse homes, each with views of Boston Harbor. Owners will have access to the St. Regis brand’s renowned services, including highly personalized and anticipatory butler and concierge assistance, and exclusive use of the tower’s swimming pool, spa, exercise room, library, sports simulator, lounge, wine vault, media room and guest suites. The signature restaurant will provide in-residence private dining as well as cater to residents, guests and neighbors.
