ABC of Massachusetts celebrates 15th annual Excellence in Construction Awards

The 15th annual Excellence in Construction Awards once again highlight the high-quality, on-time, on-budget work of the Commonwealth's merit shop contractors.

Thirteen winners received either a Merit Award or Eagle Award. In addition, Cutler Associates earned the Spirit Award, is which goes to the company that utilizes the most ABC members. Almost 70% of the participants in Cutler's Mead Hall project at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass. were ABC members. Even just a casual look at Mead Hall demonstrates the excellence that is central to the open shop philosophy.
Cutler has embodied that culture of excellence since 1972. Today, they employ more than 125 individuals and generate $160 million in annual revenue.

The Excellence in Construction Awards would not have been possible without the expertise and objectivity of our judges. I'd like to personally thank this year's judges for a job well done:

*David Moffat, operations advisor at Harvard Graduate School of Education
*Russ Feldman, principal, TBA Architects Inc.

*Mike Powers, chief executive officer, Symmes Maini & McKee Associates

*Dan Perruzzi, principal, Margulies and Associates

*Harry Flight, president, Gale Associates

The winners were honored at a spectacular event held in partnership with Build Boston at the Seaport Hotel. They were joined by architects, builders and owners from across Mass., who enjoyed a successful evening of catching up with old friends and making new ones from within the Commonwealth's thriving merit construction industry.
