ABC recognizes Safe + Sound Week

Boston, MA ABC helped recognize Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America’s workers safe.

Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line. Participating in Safe + Sound Week can help get your program started, energize an existing one, or provide a chance to recognize your safety successes. Contractors from across the country took part, and it was expected the participants would top 3,400 hundred organizations.

ABC’s Commitment to Safety: It is ABC’s mission to ensure all of their construction workers get home in the same–or better– condition than when they arrived on the jobsite every day. A culture of both physical and mental health and safety cannot exist without leadership taking a stand that includes an unwillingness to compromise safety and modeling this belief in their every action. Challenging and transforming the status quo to create a belief that all incidents are preventable creates a culture where safety is considered a moral obligation not just for leadership, but for all employees.
