Accetta named chairman emeritus of Rhode Island Real Estate Commission
Joseph Accetta has been named chairman emeritus of the RI Real Estate Commission.
Accetta, a real estate professional with over 40 years of experience, served as chairman of the commission from 1985-2005 and was the longest serving real estate commission chairman in the U.S.
David Iannuccilli, current chairman, credits Accetta with a number of regulations and laws that benefit the consumer and real estate professional.
Among them are legislation licensing home inspectors and creating a real estate appraisal board. Accetta also guided the commission through rules affecting personal assistants, gifts and inducements to customers, dual agency and much more.
Accetta is president of Joseph Accetta & Associates in Cranston.
