Acentech Studio A and Scott Simons Architects win the new Brattleboro Music Center project

Acentech's Studio A, a specialized acoustics, audiovisual systems design, and vibration consulting group for the performing arts, has teamed with Scott Simons Architects of Portland, ME. to win the new Brattleboro Music Center project. An old factory building will be rebuilt into the new home of the Brattleboro Music Center. The new facility will feature various music practice facilities and a flexible performance and rehearsal venue for a range of regional music ensembles, including the Windham Orchestra and the Blanche Moyse Chorale. Studio A's work includes architectural acoustics and mechanical system noise control consulting for the new center. "Acoustics is a critical element in the design and functionality of a theater or concert stage," said Benjamin Markham, LEED AP, senior consultant of Acentech and director of Studio A.
