AGC of Mass. to host Integrated Project Delivery program on March 30

March 18, 2009 - Construction Design & Engineering
On March 30, AGC of Massachusetts will host a program on Integrated Project Delivery and Building Information Modeling at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. At a time when the construction industry is searching for ways to eliminate waste, cut costs, improve productivity and create positive outcomes for projects, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is emerging as the process of choice among astute owners.
The IPD process leverages the experience, talent and input of all team members in a collaborative manner to obtain the best results and increase value for the owner. In addition to being highly collaborative and seeking input from project team members, IPD allows member companies to leverage Building Information Modeling by creating a virtual design of every element of a construction project's process.
Three professionals who have successfully worked through the process will share their experiences with you in a panel forum.
John Tocci, CEO, Tocci Building Companies; Scott Simpson, principal, KlingStubbins; and Jim Frey, senior vice president, Alberici Group of St. Louis.
Registration and a light breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m. followed by the program from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Fee is $95 for members and $130 for nonmembers. Sponsor for the panel discussion is Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP.
Register online at www.agcmass.org.
