Campanelli Companies has been selected to be the builder for the upcoming built-to-suit expansion for Airxchange, Inc.
Airxchange, Inc., headquartered in Rockland, Mass. focuses on the design and manufacturing of energy efficient components for the HVAC industry. Airxchange's main product, the energy recovery wheel, provides fresh outdoor air while minimizing energy loss. This technology allows for substantial savings in upfront equipment and long term operating costs. Campanelli will provide construction and development services for a 60,000 s/f expansion and facility renovation. The architect on this project is RKB Architects.
The renovation includes a new main entryway; upgrades to office areas supporting engineering, sales and marketing; general and administrative departments; as well as the new 60,000 s/f addition primarily servicing the manufacturing department. The new space will provide for more loading docks and will allow an improved vehicular traffic flow at the site.
This project is designed to support ongoing operations and to accommodate for growth. In addition to providing design build and engineering services, Campanelli has assisted in securing the permitting for the project. Campanelli was named general contractor because of its many years of experience and vertically integrated full service platform to design this expansion and renovation project which will, as a result, create more jobs for the South Shore area. The expected completion date of the project is the first quarter of 2011.
