Akelius acquires 153-unit Carson Towers in South Boston

South Boston, MA Akelius has acquired Carson Towers. The property was built in 1973 and is situated three kilometers from central Boston. The neighborhood, known as “Southie,” is one of the oldest ones in the country and is full of culture and history. Carson Tower is located next to Carson Beach. The sale price was $64 million.

With this acquisition Akelius owns 11 properties in the city and in total 28 in the country.

Ralf Spann, country manager Akelius U.S. said, “We plan to invest $6 million in the next three years in Carson Tower in order to provide a better living for current and future tenants. The ambition is to continue to grow by cherry picking suitable properties.”
