Annual BOMA Benefit 2020 benefiting Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Boston, MA The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Boston kicked off the New Year with four sold out events including the Ski Trip at Loon Mountain, Property Management Excellence Roundtable, Networking Nite in Burlington and most recently the Connect with BOMA Breakfast. BOMA has welcomed 80 new members since the new year and we’re looking forward to even more growth in 2020! 

The BOMA Benefit is back. This year, the benefit will be held from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at City Winery, 80 Beverly St. Last year, they restructured the benefit to better reflect BOMA and have the opportunity to raise more funds for their charitable partner, Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Join members and guests for an evening of industry networking, food and drink, raffle prizes and an exciting fundraising activity while supporting a great cause. 

Are you interesting in submitting a TOBY this year? The Annual TOBY & Industry Awards are held in November of each year, but the submission process starts NOW! Join BOMA for the TOBY Tutorial on Wednesday, March 18th at the BOMA Boston offices from 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for an in-depth, step-by-step instruction on the TOBY Awards submission process. Those who win locally, then regionally in 2021 will then move on to the International Conference which is in Boston next June! BOMA Boston’s Annual Springfest will be held on Thursday, May 7, at Bostonia Public House, 131 State St. from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. New this year, any industry (property manager) registered by May 6th will be entered in a drawing to win a roundtrip ticket on JetBlue up to $500! Save the date for BOMA Boston Spring and Summer events including the BOMA Fishing Tournament on Friday, June 12th, a BOMA Networking Nite in Waltham on June 23rd, the Annual BOMA Golf Tournament on July 13th at Pinehills in Plymouth and the BOMA Summer Cruise hosted by the BOMA Emerging Professionals Committee on Wednesday, July 22nd

BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong. Through educational offerings, BOMA members and non-members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The next course, BOMI Design, Operations & Maintenance of Building Systems, Part 1 will take place on March 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. The course will be instructed by Dave Thompson of Jamestown, L.P. and Mike Gill of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and will take place at the BOMA Boston offices.
