Annual Condo Conference & Expo celebrating 20 years

A 20th year anniversary is one of the biggest milestones and the CAI New England chapter is proud to say that its Annual Conference & Expo has hit it! The chapter will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the free event on Saturday, October 24th, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, Mass. One of the biggest challenges faced by the conference & expo committee each year is hosting the event at a conference facility large enough to accommodate the hundreds of attendees and conveniently located for condominium board members and industry professionals from around New England. The new Norwood location offers an expanded show floor to accommodate more exhibitors and additional meeting room space providing the opportunity for more educational offerings. With these new opportunities to substantially increase the size of this year's all day event, it has been an exciting year for committee volunteers and chapter staff. The conference & expo committee along with the program advisory council has put together a fresh new show that is guaranteed to help condominium associations with the challenges they are facing in an uncertain and difficult economy. Along with a sold out exhibit hall featuring over 100 vendors and consultants from a variety of industry related backgrounds, four educational programs will run throughout the day. Morning sessions will include "Is Your Management Company Working for You?" and "Understanding the Maintenance Needs of your Community" while afternoon programming will deliver "Noise, Odors and Smoking Oh My!" and by popular demand, "Collections, Foreclosures and Fannie May Guidelines." The full-day workshop "Condo Board Member Boot Camp," a program for current board members or homeowners assuming a leadership role in their community, will offer an in-depth and detailed understanding of the board's roles and responsibilities. Corporate sponsors of this event include the Law Offices of Goodman, Shapiro & Lombardi, L.L.C. and The Dartmouth Group, Inc., AMO, AAMC. In addition, in celebration of 20 years, special incentives for pre-registration are being offered. For more information about the conference or to pre-register contact the CAI-NE office at 781-237-9020 x10 or visit us on line at www.caine.org. Special thanks to volunteer committee chair Beth Tramontozzi, committee members Andy Costa, Mark Einhorn, Seth Emmer, Howard Himmel, Steve Hornsby, Nicole Salisbury, and Charlotte Scuderi and CAI-NE chapter staff Tanya Pearson, Natalie Springsteen, Judi Nickels and chapter executive director Claudette Carini.
