Bridgeport, CT Antinozzi Associates Architecture and Interiors will partner with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) to honor former president, Paul Antinozzi, AIA Emeritus with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Economic Development on June 21.

Antinozzi has transferred full ownership of the firm to Michael Ayles, FAIA, NCARB; Paul Lisi, AIA, BCEO; and Michael LoSasso, AIA, LEED|AP BD+C. The multi-generational architectural firm was founded by Paul’s father Daniel in 1956 and relocated to Bridgeport in 2007 where it has remained the largest architectural and interior design firm in the city.

“My three successors will take Antinozzi Associates to a new level of success. They are a team with the perfect combination of talent and enthusiasm. Their leadership is complemented by a staff of professionals who make the firm a wonderful work environment. I’m confident the future is bright for them, as it is for the city of Bridgeport,” said Antinozzi.

Antinozzi served on the BRBC’s board of directors, on the Board of BRBC Affiliate Bridgeport Economic Development Corp. (BEDCO), as well as on the BRBC’s economic development committee as co-chair and he was the catalyst and inspiration for the BRBC’s quarterly review of economic development. He was, and will continue to be, a staunch supporter of regional leadership and economic development efforts.

“This award offers Antinozzi Associates and the BRBC a most fitting way to recognize the impact that Antinozzi had within the Bridgeport region’s economic development arena,” said Ayles.  “Under Paul’s leadership, the firm’s culture was built around encouraging staff to actively engage with the communities they serve. This important philosophy allows our team to understand more fully the client’s perspective. All the clients we have worked with over the years were, and are, passionate about providing the best learning, working, and living environments for their clients and communities. The Antinozzi Associates team thrives on delivering the design leadership that makes that happen.”

The BRBC will hold its annual meeting and luncheon on Tuesday, June 21st, at The Knowlton, 305 Knowlton St.

Dan Onofrio, president & CEO of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council said, “The BRBC’s annual meeting promises to be one of our biggest and most important events of 2022. And, what better way to honor our good friend and long-time board member than with this award. We are looking forward to showcasing Paul’s legacy and to turning the spotlight on a whole host of good news about the many exciting economic development initiatives going on throughout our region.”

The focus of this event has traditionally been centered around economic development. This year carries on that tradition and will include a keynote speaker and panel discussion on arts, culture, and tourism as an economic driver for the region.
