Aronson - 2015 CAI-NE new president's message

I am excited to be serving as chapter president in 2015! Having been a member of CAI New England for many years, I am eager and proud to take on this new role. Communication is important in our industry, and the chapter has served as a conduit for so many of us to meet and foster ideas and professional relationships with colleagues and peers. I look forward to emphasizing the importance of these relationships and the need for more actual face time. While I recognize that we are all packing a great deal into every day and time is precious, we need to consider the benefit of personal contact. There is no question that time can be saved by sending emails, participating through phone conferences and posts on Facebook and LinkedIn, but nothing can ever take the place of a face to face interaction. We, as people and as an organization, cannot lose sight of the "human" touch. Through the efforts of outstanding committee members and volunteers, the chapter hosts a number of regional events, special events and educational programs. In the upcoming year, I hope you will join me and make an effort to attend a program or event. Let's stay connected and I hope to see old friends and meet new friends in the upcoming year!
