Rendering of the general aviation and administrative office building at Nantucket Memorial Airport - Nantucket, MA

Baybutt Construction has been selected general contractor for the new $4.5 million aviation building at Nantucket Memorial Airport, the second busiest airport in the state. The new 13,250 s/f general aviation and administrative office building will be located on the site of the old fire and rescue building that was sold and moved off the property earlier this year.
The new two-story building will provide a lounge for general aviation passengers on the first floor and a pilot flight training, waiting, and rest area for general aviation pilots on the second floor. The building will service private planes, jets, the coast guard and the military.
The office space will accommodate the airport manager's office as well as several other administrative staff offices similar to the old building. The project is designed by Nantucket Architecture Group and Jacobs Engineering.
Work is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2012.
