Bennett joins Dewberry

Melissa Bennett, AIA, NCARB, has joined Dewberry, as the building services group leader. Bennett will be responsible for group management, business development, project management, and client relations for a team composed of both architects and engineers. Bennett has more than 30 years of experience in planning, programming, and project management, as well as business development in both the public and private sectors. She has led multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from public transportation initiatives to campus buildings. Prior to joining Dewberry, Bennett served as principal and project manager on several federal and state projects in the Boston area. These projects included higher education, transportation, healthcare, courts, public and academic libraries, and municipal facilities. A representative list of clients includes the Mass. Port Authority, Boston Public Facilities Department, University of Mass. Amherst, the Mass. Bay Transportation Authority, and the Mass. Department of Capital Asset Management. Bennett earned her bachelor's degree in architecture from Syracuse University. She is a member of the American Library Association, the Society for College and University Planning, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the American Institute of Architects, and the Boston Society of Architects, where she has twice served on the board of directors, as well as chaired various committees over the past 30 years.
