Bennett’s Focus on Healthcare and Educational Markets

Bennett Electrical provides turnkey electrical construction services, including electrical/power distribution, fire alarm/life safety, tel/data, and security systems for some of the region’s healthcare, educational, life science research, and commercial facilities. Historically, healthcare has been the strongest market sector that Bennett has served, having provided electrical construction for facilities at Tufts Medical Center, Mass. General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Projects that have helped define Bennett’s success in this market include the Tufts Medical Center IC project, Brigham & Women’s Center for Women and Newborns, and Mass. General Hospital Blake Tower. Bennett is in progress with high profile projects at 650 East Kendall St. in Cambridge, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s generator plant in Boston, and Tufts University M&V electrical distribution project. Bennett Electrical currently employs 40 IBEW electricians in the field and an office support staff of eight. The NECA member’s strong safety performance record is the result of “an aggressive ongoing pursuit of the safest work environment and continual education of our field staff,” according to Bennett’s president Michael McKinnon. Paul Carrel serves as Bennett’s safety officer. What are contributing factors that have lead to the firm’s longevity, performance record, and continued success? “Bennett Electrical has a commitment to achieve the highest levels of quality and service for each of our clients,” McKinnon said. Attributes that certainly should continue to serve the company well. Bennett Electrical was founded by Chet Bennett in 1958.
