Blue Flag acquires The Beachside for $38 million

Nantucket, MA Blue Flag Partners has acquired The Beachside on Nantucket for $38 million. The 1966-constructed, 94-key property sits on North Beach St.

The Beachside encompasses a 3.5-acre campus in Nantucket’s Brant Point neighborhood and features one of just five hotel pools on the entire island. Its proximity to Jetties Beach, downtown and the Steamship Authority Nantucket Ferry Terminal has lured visitors for more than 50 years.

The Beachside joins Blue Flag’s growing portfolio of hotels on the island, which is currently comprised of the Faraway Nantucket; Life House, Nantucket; Summer House at Fair Street; Pineapple Inn; Hawthorn House and the former Star of the Sea Hostel. Blue Flag also owns and is in the process of reimagining a master plan for the Kelley House hotel campus in Edgartown, Mass.

Blue Flag has hired New York-based boutique hotel operator Life House to manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
