BOMA Mid-Atlantic Conference recognizes three Boston buildings and selects Brierley as Member of the Year

BOMA MAC recognized One Boston Place, 100/200 Technology Sq., Cambridge, and 250 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, with regional TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Awards at its April conference at Foxwoods Casino in Conn. The three buildings will compete at the BOMA International TOBY Awards in June in Denver, CO. One Boston Place won in the 500,000 - 1,000,000 s/f category. One Boston Place is owned by TIAA-CREF and SITQ, and managed by CB Richard Ellis/New England. Dana Warren is the general manager of the property. 100/200 Technology Sq. won the Renovated Building Category for its rehab of the building complex. Tech Sq. is owned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities and is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle. Ted O'Leary and Kristin Descoteaux manage the property. 250 Mass. Ave. won in the Historical Building Category. 250 Mass. Ave. is the former NECCO factory, and is owned by Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Jones Lang LaSalle oversees the property, and David Fuller is the property manager. The BOMA TOBY Awards are an annual recognition of the best commercial office buildings at the local, regional, and international levels of BOMA International. Rob Brierley, the 2008 BOMA Boston president, was honored as the BOMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Member of the Year. Brierley was standout in this category for his commitment to BOMA Boston, to BOMA MAC and to BOMA International. Brierley has been instrumental in driving the Green Initiative at BOMA Boston, and is an active participant on the BOMA International TOBY Committee and the Emergency Preparedness Committee. BOMA Boston congratulates all of the winners and wishes them well in Denver, CO.
