BOND, a construction management firm joined local officials and residents to celebrate the completion of the new South Cove Community Health Center on Holmes St. with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony.
BOND provided construction management services on this $11 million, 21,000 s/f community health center. The South Cove Community Health Center has an existing patient base of 12,000 that continues to grow at a rapid rate. The clinic specializes in adult medicine and pediatrics and caters to the area's Asian American population. This facility will allow for improved service to the city's rising demand for multi-cultural medical services with expanded services in Pediatrics, Dental, Ob/Gyn, Behavioral Health, Optometry, and Social Services.
The new building features eight pediatric rooms, four behavioral health consultation rooms, expanded OB/Gyn, dental operatories and an optometry suite. The 4th floor has conference and meeting room space, a learning center and a roof top Zen garden incorporating feng-shui design and traditional Chinese elements.
"We are honored to have worked with South Cove Community Health Center representatives in full filling a dream of the Asian community" said BOND project executive, Wayne Arruda.
Since 1907 BOND has been involved in some of the region's most high-profile vertical and horizontal construction projects. With two distinct groups, operating as construction managers for academic and healthcare clients, and self-performing general contractors for the power and energy industry, BOND is well known for delivering reliable, safe, and high quality work. The Building Division has completed high profile projects such as Harvard University's Northwest Science Labs and MIT's famed Media Lab in Cambridge, and the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge for the American Cancer Society in Boston; while the Civil & Utility Division has successfully completed two of the largest regional underground high-voltage electrical transmission line projects in New England's history.
