Boston Realty Advisors completes $4.55 million sale for The Mount Vernon Company

Boston Realty Advisors (BRA) has sold 96 West Cedar St., an 8 unit apartment building located in the city's Beacon Hill neighborhood for $4.55 million ($568,750/unit) to Robert Maguire on behalf of its client The Mount Vernon Company. The building provides access to Mass General Hospital, The Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, Charles St. Red Line MBTA station, as well as area restaurants and amenities. The Mount Vernon Co. upgraded the property during its ownership and provided the buyer with a turnkey building. 96 West Cedar was put under agreement just two weeks after it was listed which is a testimony to both the strength of the residential market and Mount Vernon's skill in improving properties like this, which it has done for over 25 years. Christopher Sower, managing director and partner of BRA, said, "Both seller and buyer were a pleasure to work with, which resulted in a successful sale." Jason Weissman, principal and founder of BRA said, "This was a great transaction and shows the strength of the multi-family market in Boston." BRA is a privately held commercial brokerage firm based out of Boston. BRA specializes in the sale and leasing of investment and commercial properties throughout New England.
