Boston Realty Advisors retained to sell 86 Commonwealth Ave.

According to Boston Realty Advisors (BRA), the ownership of 86 Commonwealth Ave. has retained the firm to sell the asset. Architect T. P. Briggs designed the seven-unit building in 1877. The French Academic style brick building has four stories including the basement. Additionally, the property includes three tandem parking spaces allowing parking for six cars. Christopher Sower, managing director and partner of Boston Realty Advisors said, "86 Commonwealth has so many potential uses, it could be an incredible condominium conversion, or potentially a single family." Jason Weissman, principal and founder of Boston Realty Advisors said, "It is extremely rare to find a building with such period detail that has been meticulously maintained. Details include hand carved marble mantels, a mahogany staircase, wainscoting and ornamental crown moldings." Founded in 2001 by Weissman, Boston Realty Advisors operates full-service residential and commercial brokerage platforms. BRA specializes in selling multifamily investments throughout New England. In the category of multifamily, the firm sells both urban and suburban product types. The firm's mission is to fill a void in the lack of creative and aggressive marketing within the commercial real estate industry. The firm also has an affiliated luxury home sales company, operating under the same trade name, Boston Realty Advisors - Residential. Robert Cohen is the President of the division.
