Broderick named president of Gilbane Development

Gilbane Development Co. promoted Edward Broderick to president. In this role, Broderick will draw upon thirty years of experience in the development & construction industry to set direction for the company. He will oversee day-to-day operations and foster consistent performance & customer satisfaction. Since joining Gilbane in 1982, Broderick has held larger leadership roles at Gilbane, including 7 years with Gilbane Building Co. before joining Gilbane Dev. as a project manager and progressing through to development manager, senior development manager, senior vice president of development, and most recently as executive vice president. Broderick has had many accomplishments, including transactions in both public and private sectors. He brings a wealth of experience to the company, combined with exceptional leadership, a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing markets, and strong bottom line results. "I am pleased to appoint Ed as president," said Gilbane Development's chairman and CEO Robert Gilbane. "His consistent performance and critical thinking has been a tremendous contributor to our overall success for the past 20 years, and his vision will help lead the company into the future." Broderick has a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College and MBA in finance from Providence College. In addition, he participated in the executive MBA program at University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Broderick is a director of Gilbane Development and a member of the executive committee. He serves on the board of the Narragansett Council Boy Scouts of America and is actively involved with the NAIOP, YMCA and Catholic Relief Services. He is also a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of The United Way.
