Braintree, MA Caritas Communities, a non-profit provider of low-income housing and services with a mission to prevent homelessness, welcomes Keita Browne of Sanofi to its board of directors.

Browne is currently the head of finance, U.S. Rare Disease at Sanofi where he is responsible for the end-to-end management of a $1 billion P&L (7 therapies across 5 disease states) and for driving rare disease financial strategy. He brings over 14 years of strategic and analytical finance experience across various industries (pharmaceuticals, mining and metals manufacturing, commercial banking, and oil & gas) across both public and privately held corporations. Brown received his B.B.A. Finance from Baruch College, magna cum laude, and a M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

“We are thrilled to have Keita joining our board,” said Karin Cassel Mitterando, executive director. “It is important to bring diverse industries, skills, and perspectives to our work, and I look forward to the new ideas Keita will bring to the table.”

“I have lived in the Boston area for more than 10 years and witnessed the positives as well as the negatives associated with the city’s exponential growth,” said Browne. “I welcome the opportunity to join the Caritas Communities’ Board to help address the issue of homelessness that has grown due to the city’s evolution and increasing economic disparities.”
