Glastonbury, CT BSC Group, a leading consulting firm providing planning, design and environmental services to the transportation, energy, and land development markets, has appointed Robert Newton, PE, LEED AP, to the role of manager of civil engineering in the firm’s Conn. office. 

In this capacity, Newton will apply more than 25 years of industry experience to the leadership of engineering projects for both public and private sector clients. Newton comes to this new position with extensive experience managing an array of project types, from municipal roadway reconstruction to site planning and design for improvements at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. Of particular interest is Newton’s experience providing on-call consulting to municipalities in Connecticut and western Massachusetts, serving as a trusted advisor to help these valued clients plan and prioritize community improvements while making best use of public funds.

His credentials also include the LEED Accredited Professional designation from the US Green Building Council.
