Marlene Burke has joined Grubb & Ellis|Northern New England. Burke will serve as a property manager and be responsible for the management and operation of a real estate portfolio comprising over 200,000 s/f of office, industrial and retail investment properties in Southern New Hampshire.
Burke brings almost 20 years of experience in building operations, budgeting, capital project management and tenant relations to G&E|NNE. Most recently she was senior property manager for Sovereign Realty Development Corp. in Londonderry.
In addition to her expertise in building operations, lease administration and tenant retention, Burke is also experienced in crisis management. In the aftermath of a significant fire, Burke's crisis communication and organization skills were critical in efficiently and effectively working through a total building loss. She coordinated the needs of displaced tenants, oversaw lease negotiations and served as the lead contact for contractors and insurance claim issues for both the landlord and each tenant. Over the course of nine months the building was completely restored without the loss of a single tenant.
Burke is a member of the Commercial Investment Board of Realtors and the New Hampshire and National Association of Realtors. She earned a BS in Business Administration from Plymouth State University.
