REFA Emerging Leaders are well underway in their mentor program and met in April for networking and to hear from John Meagher, head of capital markets, Rhino Capital. Meagher provided insight into his career, how he grew the Rhino platform, and provided viewpoint on the current market conditions. The Emerging Leaders also gathered at 125 High St. for our first executive insight of the year featuring Jon Davis, founder & CEO of the Davis Companies. Davis shared his story on how he got to where he is today and what it takes to form a business such as Davis. Thank you Tishman Speyer for hosting the event.

REFA’s DEI committee recently hosted an open discussion on the history of black banking given the recent focus on SVB and the stability of smaller banks in our communities. Materials discussed were excerpts from the book, The Color of Money by Mehrsa Baradaran, a primer interview with the author on the Karen Hunter Show, and the film, The Banker. To expand REFA’s DEI efforts, we have also teamed up with the Builders of Color Coalition (BCC). Learn more about the BCC and their upcoming events at www.buildersofcolor.com.
