C.E. Floyd Company, Benchmark Senior Living and Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects broke ground for Bedford Falls Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.
C.E. Floyd Co. and Bechtel Frank Erickson are partnering with Benchmark Senior Living on their 17th project together. They are working with New Ecology to deliver the first new assisted living facility to achieve LEED Silver under the LEED for Homes standard.
The new community will include 64 assisted living units, 20 memory care units, a commercial kitchen with a dining common and a dementia garden. The building is about 75,850 s/f of new construction and is adjacent to area amenities. Careful attention will be paid to minimizing impact on the site, energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Existing site conditions required extensive ledge removal and retaining wall construction along the north elevation. The building will be a steel-framed structure to meet the institutional use requirements but is designed to reflect the historic local architectural aesthetic.
Benchmark Senior Living has 44 communities throughout New England that offer assisted living, memory care, independent living and short term/respite care. C.E. Floyd Co. is a construction management firm specializing in senior housing, private education, corporate and hospitality work. Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects specializes in creative designs.
