Energizer Personal Care (EPC) has committed to 80,000 s/f of office space at Six Research Dr. The new space will serve as EPC's world headquarters and will consolidate two business entities owned by the parent company, Energizer Holdings, Inc., to create a personal care division known as EPC. EPC's portfolio of products includes well established brand names such as Schick, Wilkinson Sword, Playtex, Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Wet Ones and Diaper Genie.
Sean Cahill and Susanne Dengenis of CB Richard Ellis' Stamford office represented EPC in the deal. Richard Gretsch, Jr. of Gretsch Real Estate acted on behalf of the owner.
Owned by RD Scinto, Six Research Dr. is equipped with many "green" elements, including energy efficient windows and a Sarnafil roofing system which reflects light to optimize energy usage.
"We were looking for our new world headquarters to not only offer excellent space for our employees, but to also incorporate sustainable features," said Jon Beckmann of EPC. "At EPC we believe that everyone needs to contribute to improving our environment and are pleased to have found such a top-rate property in a prominent location with so many 'green' aspects."
Six Research Dr.'s tenants have access to all of the amenities at Enterprise Corporate Park, including restaurant, health clubs, a day care center and a 200-seat conference center. The property also offers easy access to Rte. 8 and I-95.
"The Shelton property offered Energizer the unique combination of office space, convenient access and a plethora of amenities," said Dengenis.
