Learning Objectives : - Learn to manage all aspects of the design and planning process. - Learn the project management process, its component parts, how they interrelate. - Discuss needs assessment, design team selection, design contracts, estimating and budgeting, scheduling, and program development. - Learn practical tools to improve the successful application of the project management process within the capital facility project process. Instructor Bios: - Clifford Ashton, PE, CFM SFP, UConn Health Center Cliff Ashton is currently the associate vice president of facilities management and operations at UConn Health. Cliff has been a member of IFMA since 2005 and has held the position of Secretary (2012 – 2013) and he is currently Co-Vice President of the IFMA local CT Chapter’s Executive Board. - Jay Drew, CFM, PMP, SFP, CT General Assembly Jay Drew is the facilities project manager for the Connecticut General Assembly. He is the current president of the International Facility Management Association-Connecticut Chapter (IFMA-CT). Jay worked with IFMA to develop the FM Learning System and the Sustainability Facility Professional credential program.
