BOMA Boston Engineering Committee tech tour - April 6
The BOMA Boston Engineering Committee will be holding a tech tour, open to members and non-members, of the Deer Island Campus and Water Treatment Facility on Friday, April 6. The tour will include: a one-hour Down the Drain presentation, an interactive presentation that answers the questions: “What is wastewater?... Where does it come from and where does it go?“ After learning the basics of wastewater treatment, the tour will begin in the historic pump station, where attendees learn about the history of Deer Island. The group will then visit the South System Pump Station, Digester Rd., and the disinfection/discharge area.
