CBC event - Revitalizing Communities

Revitalizing Communities Through Public Private Partnerships Hartford, CT The Conn. Building Congress will hold an event on March 8 "Revitalizing Communities Through Public Private Partnerships" at the The Marquee, Gershon Fox Ballroom, 960 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103. Public Private Partnerships are the subject of increased focus nationally and internationally in recent years.  In Connecticut, public and private players at the local level have been collaborating and forming alliances not only to maintain and improve public infrastructure, but also to create more vibrant, livable communities that spur economic growth. Building on actual case studies in Mansfield and Windsor, our speakers will focus on the role and accomplishments of the local partnership, the elements critical to its success, and challenges that have been (or need to be) overcome.  We will also explore visions for future infrastructure, commercial, civic, housing and transportation projects in our communities, and how collaboration between public and private sectors can produce community growth by common investment. Speakers will include: Peter Souza, town manager, town of Windsor; Matthew Hart, town manager, town of Mansfield; Oz Gabriel, president/CEO, Metro Hartford Alliance; and moderator Martin Onorato of Robinson+Cole.
