Planning for, recovering quickly, and curbing damage from natural disasters

From the devastating June fire in London to Category 5 hurricanes that battered coasts, from damaging winds to rain that compromises our buildings from above and below, what can we learn about disaster, recovery, and designing to mitigate damage from natural disasters?
We will examine some histories of damage, how to plan for natural disaster and recover quickly, how to manage facilities for owners and tenants in the specter of severe weather, how to protect existing structures, and how to use design as a defense against natural disasters. Who will lead the charge to necessary change?
If you own, manage, design, construct, and/or repair buildings, or care about resilient communities, you should join us for open discussion about the issues surrounding natural disasters. The program will help you will become more informed and better able to make decisions that impact the strength of your facilities and the resiliency of your business.
