Stamford, CT Building and Land Technology (BLT) appointed Brian Carcaterra as executive vice president. Prior to joining BLT, Carcaterra spent over two decades as a broker and senior leader at Newmark Group, Inc. and CBRE Group, Inc. specializing in agency and tenant representation. He also co-founded Homewood Real Estate Partners, which has aggregated investments in over 25 different assets. Carcaterra’s client list includes several of the largest hedge funds in the world as well as many local, regional and national real estate and financial services firms. Carcaterra will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of leasing for BLT’s national office portfolio, investments and joint ventures. Carcaterra will be co-leading the leasing initiative with BLT’s Leslie Whatley, executive vice president.

“Over more than three decades, we have developed, owned, operated, managed and invested in more than 25 million square feet of real estate and have had the opportunity to work with many brokers and business owners. Brian not only brings an extensive client list and substantial commercial real estate industry experience to assist in our national leasing efforts, but he also understands the benefits of BLT’s offerings in creating innovative connections between residential and office spaces that underscore our commitment to building communities that endure and fuel growth,” said Carl Kuehner, III, chairman of BLT.

Over the course of his brokerage career, Carcaterra has been recognized by NAIOP, BOMA and other Industry groups for spearheading multiple “Deal of the Year” and “Brokerage Team of the Year” award-wining initiatives both locally and nationally. Prior to Carcaterra’s real estate career, he was a professional player in Major League Lacrosse where he was an All Star and World Champion. Carcaterra is a part owner of the Albany Firewolves of the National Lacrosse League and has served on multiple charitable boards.

“I’m excited to be joining BLT as the next step in my journey in real estate,” said Carcaterra. “I very much look forward to being part of the company that has provided so much for the communities it develops and enhances and I am hopeful I will become an integral member of the team in short order. Collaboration, creativity, hard work, teamwork and having fun is what I plan to bring to the platform day one. I would like to thank all my former teammates, partners, colleagues and family members that have supported me for the last twenty years.”
