CB Richard Ellis/New England wins 11 BOMA Office Building of the Year Awards

CB Richard Ellis/New England recently took home top honors after receiving 11 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) awards which were presented at the annual Office Building of the Year (TOBY) and Industry Awards held on November 18th at the Boston Sheraton Hotel and Towers. BOMA, a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, provides a networking forum for industry professionals to discuss mutual issues, exchange ideas and share experience and knowledge. "This award ceremony honors the best buildings and real estate professionals in the Greater Boston area," said Mark Tassinari, executive vice president/partner and head of CBRE/NE property management. "We are proud to be the leading property management group in the Greater Boston market which is a true testament to the team of dedicated professionals we have working with us at CB Richard Ellis/New England." The first of CBRE's 11 awards went to Ana McKenna, property manager at Lake Quannapowitt Parkway in Wakefield, who was presented with the "Property Manager of the Year Award" in the low-rise category for superior service. Mark Milone, property manager at 855 Boylston St., received the "Property Manager of the Year" award in the mid-rise category. Receiving the "Engineer of the Year" award was Alex Sutelman at One Boston Place. James Sawayer was awarded as "Executive Engineer of the Year." Also of note, Marley Short, operations manager at 33 Arch St., received the BOMA Boston Education Scholarship. CBRE was also honored with six out of the 11 TOBY awards for individual properties under the firm's management; honors included the top office building under 100,000 s/f (Reservoir Corporate Center, Southborough); the top 100,000-249,000 s/f office building (One Chestnut Place, Worcester); the top 500,000-1 million s/f office building (33 Arch St.); the top office building over 1 million s/f (One Beacon St.); the top industrial office park (I-290 Industrial Park, Northborough); and the top corporate facility (Two Federal St., Billerica).
