Happy New Year fellow CT CCIM chapter members. I hope everyone has enjoyed the holiday season.

First and foremost, I’d like to thank the membership for nominating and entrusting me as president for 2016.  I’m delighted to continue our chapter’s mission of becoming the most effective, professional vehicle to impart commercial real estate education, services and profitable ideas to commercial real estate practitioners in the State of Connecticut.

The CCIM designation has provided me with opportunities and opened doors that I could have never imagined.  I’m most looking forward to continuing to build on the opportunities that are available to our members and supporters, as it relates to education, networking, and technology, so that the gamut of our membership ranging from seasoned veterans to those who are relatively new to the business will continue to receive significant value from our organization.

Lastly, it was good to hear your feedback in the survey that was conducted via email last month. Your comments are an invaluable tool for our board of directors to be able to deliver high-quality programming to our members.  You can contact me directly, or reach out to any of our board of directors and chapter officers, who were installed last month at the Installation Dinner and Holiday Party at J. Gilberts in Glastonbury, Conn.

To our chapter sponsors, we are sincerely grateful for your involvement.  The board of directors and I look forward to working with everyone in making 2016 a memorable year!

Michael Guidicelli, CCIM, SIOR, is the 2016 CCIM CT chapter president.
