Claremont celebrates the revitalization of Pleasant St. with a Block Party on Saturday, August 13th

Claremont, NH The Pleasant Street Block Party is inviting the local community and beyond to celebrate the revitalization of Pleasant St.and showcase all of the great businesses in the City Center’s Pleasant St./Opera House Sq./Tremont St. area on Saturday, August 13 from 3PM to 8PM.

More than 30 businesses will be participating on Pleasant St. with activities and games. Performers from local theater groups, Amplified Arts and Off Broad Street Players, will be circulating among the crowd and there will be Main Stage performances by magician Dylan Tenney, Sugar River Trivia Live with Chris Qualls, and our music headliner, Back Porch Bandits.

The main stage will be located in front of 66 Pleasant St.with the following scheduled performances:

3:15PM – magician Dylan Tenney

4:15PM - Sugar River Trivia Live with Chris Qualls

6:00PM – 8:00PM – Back Porch Bandits

Activities will include face painting, rock painting, duck pond game, arts & crafts, hair tinsel for kids, touch-a-truck, outdoor arcade & video games, trivia games, remote controlled cars, sidewalk chalk, yard games, raffles, passport program, a screening of “The Incredibles” at the Claremont Opera House, tours of the Claremont MakerSpace and more!

The following restaurants will be open and participating in the Pleasant Street Block Party: Daddy’s Pizza, REMIX, Rocky’s Taqueria, Sunshine Cookshop, Taverne on the Square and TC’S Pantry. Claremont Spice & Dry Goods will be teaming up with the Sunshine Cookshop and selling Caribbean-themed drinks. The Let’s Get Loaded Food Truck will be selling fried dough and a lemonade & popcorn cart will also be joining the festivities.

Bus service to and from parking lots will be provided by Southwestern Community Services.
