Norwood, MA Robert Coffman has joined Gaston Electrical Co., Inc. (Gaston) as senior project manager. Coffman will be working with Jim Reen, vice president of construction as the project management team continues to expand and lead new projects in the Greater Boston Region.

In his new role, Coffman will oversee the day-to-day operations and progress of large-scale projects including communication with construction partners, material equipment buyouts, schedules, manpower, and safety coordination. His addition is representative of the ongoing growth within Gaston’s project management team, and a strategic plan to deliver the highest level of service to clients.

“As today’s construction projects bring higher degrees of complexity, tighter schedules, and increased coordination, it’s important that our company attract and develop the most-talented project managers in the industry,” said Reen.

“Robert comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in overseeing a wide range of large projects, this background and skillset will make him an immediate asset to our expanding team.”

Coffman brings over 15 years of professional experience, having worked for well-known electrical contracting firms on the West Coast throughout his career. Most-recently, he served as a project manager at Cupertino Electric in Los Angeles, where he led complex projects at locations including California Polytechnic State University at Pomona, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Universal Studios. His past work covers a variety of asset types including residential, higher-ed, office, life sciences, and health care.

“I’m excited to be part of a well-respected company that is playing an active role in Boston’s construction scene,” said Coffman. “As a California transplant, I look forward to building new professional relationships, working with fellow Gaston team members, and constructing high-profile projects in the region”
