Colliers International represents Wolters Kluwer in lease expansion to 132,000 s/f at 230 CityPoint

230 CityPoint - Waltham, MA

Waltham, MA Colliers International recently has advised global information services organization, Wolters Kluwer, in a 20,000 s/f expansion of its existing office space at 230 CityPoint, bringing its total footprint to 132,000 s/f.

Led by Colliers’ vice chair James Elcock, executive vice president John Carroll and senior vice president Bill Lynch, alongside Colliers New York’s vice chairman Mark Friedman, Wolters Kluwer’s need for additional space was prompted by the success and subsequent growth of Wolters Kluwer Health division’s UpToDate, Inc., a software system providing point-of-care medical and evidence-based clinical resource solutions.

“Wolters has been incredibly happy with its experience at 230 CityPoint to date and specifically with landlord, Boston Properties,” said Elcock. “In signing their initial lease back in 2014, Wolters selected Boston Properties as a partner knowing they were committed to accommodating growth throughout the term, so BP’s support in this latest expansion did not disappoint.”

Despite limited vacancy in the building, Colliers and Boston Properties were able to identify a solution allowing the UpToDate group to backfill space soon to be vacated by Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton PC.

“It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement for Wolters and Boston Properties,” said Carroll.

“Wolters is excited to continue its growth trajectory in a building and area supported by first-class amenities essential to its employee recruitment and retention initiatives.”
