Columbia Construction adds Jozokos as leader of healthcare services

North Reading, MA Columbia Construction Co. has named Sharon Jozokos, LEED AP, director of healthcare services. Jozokos is a seasoned project management executive with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. The addition of Jozokos marks Columbia’s growing commitment to serving the healthcare sector.

“Columbia Construction will tap into Sharon’s extensive expertise to add another layer of detail and client service across all our markets,” said Bill Aalerud, vice president of corporate planning and development at Columbia. “With her in-depth understanding of the healthcare industry, Sharon will continue to serve our current clients while expanding Columbia’s relationships with many new clients.”

Throughout her career, Jozokos has been involved in complex construction projects, ranging from small-scale renovations to $200+ million projects. She began her career as a co-op student at William A. Berry & Son, Inc., and worked her way to becoming the company’s first female project executive. She has extensive field experience, project management knowledge, and client management know-how. Her healthcare/life sciences portfolio includes: Lahey Health System, UMass Medical School, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Maine Medical Center and multiple hospitals in North Africa. She earned her MBA at Boston College and is a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT). In 2013, Jozokos was named Wentworth’s “Woman of the Year.” She is a member of the Wentworth Corp. and serves on WIT’s Industry Advisory Board.
