Columbia’s Science + Technology Group awards five new construction and renovation projects

North Reading, MA Columbia, the construction management firm, has provided the award of three new projects for its Science + Technology sector for clients including 24M Technologies, Corning and Nyobolt. Columbia has also completed biotech projects for Ratio Therapeutics in the Seaport and Remix Therapeutics in Watertown. The recently restructured Science + Technology Group is focused on the construction and renovation of biotechnology, pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing, chemical, battery, semiconductor, robotics, healthcare, medical device, and tech spaces.

“Columbia’s Science + Technology Group is the natural evolution of our long-time work bringing science to life,” said Bill Olson, vice president | Science + Technology. “Columbia’s technical facility design excellence and flexible and innovative problem-solving have long supported extraordinary results. The Columbia Science + Technology Group builds upon the firm’s comprehensive portfolio of laboratories, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, pilot plants, warehouses, bulk chemical plants, biological processing facilities, and other related sites.

 The Science + Technology Group utilizes sophisticated building information modeling tools to deliver a safe and efficient project, and its ambitious work is supported by Columbia’s in-house Energy Division, ensuring that projects are sustainable and energy-efficient. Columbia works within the guidelines of ASME, ASHRAE, API, ANSI, OSHA, EPA, cGMP, AAALAC, and FDA regulations.
