Congress Building breaks ground on The Residence at Five Corners

Congress Building Corp. and LCB Senior Living, LLC held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 10 for The Residence at Five Corners, a senior housing community. Congress Bldg. will provide construction management services for the project, which will be owned and operated by LCB Senior Living, LLC. The ceremonial groundbreaking was held to celebrate commencement of construction on the 84-unit assisted living, independent living and memory care residence located at 678 Depot St. at Five Corners. Members of the corporate leadership team from both Congress Building and LCB Senior Living were on hand. "We are very pleased to be partnering once again with LCB Senior Living, LLC and are grateful for the support we've received for this project from town officials and the entire Easton community. The Residence at Five Corners will provide local seniors with attractive living options that will allow them to maintain active, independent lifestyles while enjoying the companionship of neighbors in a state-of-the-art community," said William Nicholson, CEO of The Congress Cos. Designed by The Architectural Team, the residence will feature a gourmet restaurant where residents will be able to dine on their own schedules, comfortable common areas, a library, media room, recreation facilities, outdoor sitting and walking areas and many other amenities. The Residence at Five Corners is scheduled to open in late 2015. Independent living apartments in the community will feature kitchenettes and baths and residents will enjoy three daily gourmet meals prepared and served restaurant-style, available laundry and cleaning services, a full activities program, a host of other optional services and the peace of mind of 24-hour security. Offering the same amenities as the independent living apartments, assisted living apartments are designed for those who would benefit from assistance with activities of daily living including bathing and dressing, medication reminders and other services as needed. The Reflections Memory Care program at The Residence at Five Corners will engage residents with early stage Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments in meaningful, therapeutic activities focused on their strengths and capabilities. Reflections offers specialized cognitive programming in a separate, secure environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard and other amenities. Congress Building Corp. is currently providing construction management services for The Residence at Riverbend, a 75-unit, senior living community being constructed in Ipswich, Mass,, scheduled for completion in late 2014, The Residence at South Windsor Farms, an 80-unit senior living community in South Windsor, Conn., scheduled for completion in early 2015, The Residence at Brookside, a 74-unit senior living community in Avon, Conn. also scheduled for completion in early 2015 and a 41,800 s/f addition to the Village at Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, VT. scheduled for completion in January 2015.
