Connecticut towns awarded $10.9m in Federal Housing grants

Gov. Malloy announced that 31 Connecticut towns have been awarded a total of $10,987,840 by the Department of Economic and Community Development, the administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Small Cities Community Development Block Grant program. The Small Cities Program funds economic development, affordable housing, and other community revitalization projects. Among the communities to receive a portion of the grant are Ansonia, Berlin, Brookfield, Canton, Enfield, Hampton, Killingly, Litchfield, Old Saybrook, Preston, Salisbury, Tolland, Vernon, Wethersfield, and Woodbridge.
