Cresa Boston was recently recognized as one of the Top Places to Work in the Boston Globe's annual Top Places to Work in Massachusetts survey. The commercial real estate advisory firm, one of the largest in New England specializing in tenant representation, ranked number three in the Small Workplace Category. Cresa Boston was also the only commercial real estate firm recognized in any of the categories in the competition, regardless of company size. The fifth-annual regional awards honor companies in four categories: the top 25 largest workplaces (more than 1,000 employees), top 35 large workplaces (250-999 employees), top 40 medium-sized workplaces (100-249 employees), and top 25 small workplaces (50-99 employees). This is the first year small workplaces were included in the survey. Companies are rated based on employee surveys that evaluate workplace practices in compensation, leadership, appreciation, career opportunities, and management. Cresa also received accolades for superior rankings in "company strengths" categories for ethics and "going in the right direction." In addition to the Globe award, the firm has been ranked on the Boston Business Journal's Best Places to Work list for the past seven out of eight years. Also, the firm recently was recognized for providing project management services for Philips' new 32K s/f office in Andover, which received the 2012 CoreNet Global New England Award of Excellence for the Best New Workplace. The Boston Globe's 2012 Top Places to Work survey was conducted by WorkPlace Dynamics of Exton, Penn., specialists in employee engagement and retention. The Globe invited 1,586 employers to participate in the survey; 304 organizations employing a total of 210,000 people completed the process. Surveys were received from 81,907 individuals.
